wedding flowers

The wind was literally knocked out of me when I learned that wedding flowers nowadays cost upwards of P20,000. WHY??? Why would you want to spend that much on something that won't last and you can't even eat? I understand flowers look nice, and I understand that a wedding is simply not a wedding without flowers, but...P20,000 is a whole lotta overtime! :-P

Anyway. Here are the contact numbers of a few Freedom Park florists:

Belinda "Baby" Beleña
* Home: 272-4092
* Store: 253-6822
* Mobile: 0927-2256517
* P10,000 up

Jun Cañete
* 2550056
* 0920-8983375
* P10,000 up

Nang Bebe
* 4169346
* 5114014
* 0905-8563764

Before you get in touch with any of these florists (or any wedding supplier, for that matter), try to have a clear idea of how much you are willing to spend -- your ideal budget, and the absolute maximum beyond which you should walk away. As with everything wedding-related, the prices of wedding flowers are eye-popping, but a lot of florists are actually willing to work with your budget. You shouldn't, of course, expect tulips all around for an 8k budget. But in the bigger scheme of things, does it really matter whether it's local 'mums or calla lilies in the aisles? Focus on what's important. Everything else is dispensable.

And good luck with the florists. :D

Hi Marianne! Thanks for dropping by. I came across this page while I was doing research before:

http://www.weddingsatwork.com/index.php/foreigners-and-marriage-in-the-philippines/

Basically, both of you have to get a certificate of legal capacity to contract marriage from your embassy / consular office. Here's the link to the web page of the Norwegian consulate in Cebu:

http://www.norway.ph/Embassy/newconsul/

Once you have that certificate, you can apply for a marriage license. If you guys are in Norway, I would suggest that you get the services of a wedding coordinator, just so there's someone here in the Philippines who will do the paperwork for you.

I've mostly been writing about stuff that I came across while planning my own wedding, so I don't really know that much about what to do for weddings involving citizens of other countries, and I'm afraid this is all I can do for you. :) I hope it helps.

Had a really bad experience with Interflora Flowershoppe by Alex monteclar. Don't ven think about it. He ruined the supposed to be "amazing" flowers i was supposed to have during my wedding. lacking flowers, late arrangers, no bridal car decor. frustrating!disappointing!i paid for it!!!
